Project Background

FLINT is a game developer founded in 2013, South Korea. FLINT announced that the 2D dark fantasy action RPG Astra: Knights of Veda will be playable at G-STAR 2022. Astra: Knights of Veda has been in the works for seven years now with FLINT developers. The studio also includes former Nexon, NCsoft and EA Korea veterans amongst a team of 120 devs previously responsible for Dragon Blaze.

G-STAR is an annual exhibition held in Busan, South Korea for corporations involved in the technology and gaming industry as well as for gaming fans. It provides esport events, seminars, B2B and B2C exhibitions. G-STAR is one of the most celebrated gaming exhibitions in Asia. Eidetic’s task was to provide creative design and fabrication for the booth construction and overall management of the exhibition.

Our Solution

EIDETIC was responsible for designing, fabricating and activating Flint’s B2C exhibition booths within a footprint of 900m². From key visuals to the actual construction and brand application, Eidetic creatively leveraged Flint’s brand values to create an experiential booth while keeping IP and content top priority. To engage attendees, 80 demo devices were installed, showcasing Flint’s brand new game, Astra: Knights of Veda. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience demos on two types of devices which highlighted their latest features and an interactive photo opportunity. Attendees could enjoy instagrammable moments throughout the event with the photo booth, cosplay zone, and giant game characters displays. Additionally, they received high-quality merchandising as giveaways and the best gameplay from the live game tournament on stage. Throughout G-STAR, the stage was abuzz with engaging events and rich content that captivated attendees, including cosplay photo sessions, an OX Quiz, and more with streamers.

At G-STAR, FLINT formalized a global publishing contract with HYBE-IM, the gaming division of the prominent HYBE, a management conglomerate associated with BTS.
